It is with great sadness that we relay to you that our former CEO/President, and shareholder, Terry Wood passed away Tuesday, August 16th, 2022. Terry suffered a hemorrhagic brain stroke in December, and after enduring many months of care and treatment, finally succumbed to the complications of this devastating health condition.

Terry joined Coastal Pacific in 1995 and was instrumental to the growth of our company. For years he established and led the Procurement, Customer Service and Sales Development team that propelled the company to new levels of capability and customer revenues. He had a passion for analytics and driving results, and as CEO/President was proud to represent our company and champion the needs of the U.S. Military patrons that we serve. He served on the Board of Directors of the National American Logistics Association (ALA) and served as President of the Northern California ALA chapter in addition to being a member of the National ALA Commissary Council and on the Board of Directors for the Coalition of Military Distributors.

When he stepped back from the daily rigors and grueling travel schedule of the CEO position, he found a passion for cycling and would tell tales of cycling around El Dorado Hills. His joy was to spend every moment he could with his family, and he would always proudly speak of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by the love of his life, Georgi, son Matt and spouse Tyler, daughter Ashley and spouse Adam, and daughter Kristin and spouse Amber. His beloved grandchildren are Madison, Cooper, and Austin.

Terry’s legacy will continue through the many ways that he touched all of us who were fortunate enough to work alongside within our industry and to call him a friend.
